Yusuke Urameshi, who was 14 years old, tragically lost his life while attempting to rescue a young child from a moving vehicle. He is far from an angel, though, which just added to the spirit world's surprise at his altruism. In reality, Yusuke's demise was not yet anticipated, which explains why he is granted the chance to resurrect. There, he is made to play the role of a ghost investigator and so his and his friends' adventures begin, whether they involve particular investigations or a fighting match.
