Yona of the Dawn is about a princess named Yona who lives in the fantasy kingdom of Kouka. After her father, King Il, is murdered by her cousin Soo-won, she is forced to flee the palace with her loyal servant Son Hak and find new allies to help her reclaim the throne.
Yona of the Dawn follows the story of Princess Yona as she embarks on a journey to reclaim her rightful place as ruler of Kouka. Along the way, she meets various allies who join her cause and helps her grow into a strong and determined leader. As Yona's journey progresses, she learns more about herself and discovers that there are greater forces at work than just restoring the kingdom to its former glory.
