Tatara Fujita, a pointless middle schooler, aspires to excel in something. He is, nonetheless, about as average as a teenager can be. The neighborhood bullies are aware of this and shamelessly take advantage of it by regularly beating him to get his money. However, after they are removed by the endearing Kaname Sengoku, this changes. But he is not just any neighborhood watchman; he is a dancer. He drew Tatara into the realm of the ballroom, and his life immediately changed.
