Weathering With You is an animated romantic fantasy film from Japan, written and directed by Makoto Shinkai, who also wrote and directed the popular 2016 film Your Name. The movie follows a teenage boy named Hodaka Morishima who runs away to Tokyo during a period of extreme weather. He meets a girl named Hina Amano who has the ability to manipulate the weather. Together they must save Tokyo from the destructive forces of nature that threaten its citizens.
