In the not-too-distant future, Neo-Tokyo Country has only one legal means of resolving disputes: Extreme Baseball (XB), in which several teams, known as Tribes, play against one another to defend their rights. The harsh sport is very well-liked, and this is what the monarch Houtenshin has commanded.
Only in his dreams can Haru Shirokane imagine such stardom. He is victimized on a regular basis and quickly grows weary of his own frailty. He desires to meet Shun Kamiya, the Minato Tribe's strongest extreme baseball player, for this reason. But he runs into the well-traveled Taiga there. They learn that, except their intervention, the Tribes are in grave danger, and so their adventure starts.
