Ichigo Momomiya had no idea how drastically her life will change when she goes to an exhibition on endangered species with her secret crush Masaya Aoyama. After an earthquake, she and four other girls take part in an extraordinary experiment designed to defend the Earth from an alien race that wants to attack it. One endangered species' genetic material is added to the girls' DNA at a time, enabling them to change into a hybrid form. Ichigo inherits the power and traits of the Iriomote cat as a result, and her quick reflexes help her in her battle against the extraterrestrial parasites that transform animals into dangerous monsters. Ichigo joins up with Mint, who possesses the sapphire loris' dormant power, Lettuce, who exhibits smooth hog whale traits, Pudding, who has linked with the DNA of the golden lion monkey, and Zakuro, who possesses the gray wolf's power, to fight for Earth's survival against the enemy takeover.
