The Predator is a 2018 American science fiction action film directed by Shane Black and written by Black and Fred Dekker. It is the fourth installment in the Predator franchise, following Predator (1987), Predator 2 (1990), and Predators (2010).
The film follows a group of ex-soldiers, who are being hunted by an enhanced alien predator during a mission to rescue hostages in Mexico. The cast includes Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey and Yvonne Strahovski.
The film was released in the United States on September 14th 2018 to mixed reviews from critics but was successful at the box office grossing over $160 million worldwide against its $88 million budget.
