Kirito discovers that his memory of what happened before entering the virtual world is unclear as he awakens in a vast forest with a stunning backdrop of enormous trees. He starts exploring the forest in search of hints and comes upon a boy named Eugeo in front of a big cedar tree who seems to already know Kirito. The youngster possesses the same range and complexity of emotions as a human, despite the fact that he must be a Non Player Character. The two set out to locate his parents when Kirito unexpectedly recalls a memory from his own childhood that had been buried deep within of him. He and Eugeo race through the forest together while a girl named Alice, who has golden hair, runs alongside them. But who is this enigmatic Alice, whose name ought to be remembered forever?
