The anti-human Neuroi first showed out on Earth in 1939. Although their origin and motivations are currently unknown, humanity have established so-called "Strike Units" in order to defend and combat them. Young women with magical skills are among them; they make up the elite group known as the "Strike Witches," and they utilize their magic both to fight and to treat the wounded. One of them is Yoshika Miyafuji, who is driven to fight for the people by a very unique motivation.
