Space Dandy follows the story of a young man in space who works as an alien bounty hunter. Dandy, along with his partner Meow and robot assistant QT, are set for adventures where they find aliens to register in the Space Alien Registration Center. As the name Space Dandy implies, the series has a rather light comedic structure. Another character in the story, Dr. Gel, is pursuing Dandy as a mission from the Gogol Empire.
Space Dandy has a rather quirky set of characters, with a non-serious plot. Dandy has a rather shallow character with a less-than-average intellect having more time on shenanigans over accomplishments. The show appeals to a younger audience, having a mellow yet fun progression throughout the series. The less serious plots would let the children enjoy their imaginations come to life without going through the stress of being scared of space aliens. With Space Dandy, hopping on a ship on an alien quest is not that scary.
