Sankarea is a romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Mitsuru Hattori. The story follows Chihiro Furuya, a high school student who falls in love with Rea Sanka, a zombie girl brought back to life by his experiments. Despite the strange circumstances, the two develop an odd relationship as they try to figure out how to bridge their differences and find happiness together. Along the way, they must also deal with Rea's zombified family members, Chihiro's friend Ranko and her own feelings of guilt over being undead.
