Persona 3 is a Japanese role-playing game released in 2006. It is the fourth installment in the Persona series, which is part of the larger Megami Tensei franchise. The game follows a group of high school students who are forced to fight supernatural forces using physical manifestations of their psyche called Personas. Players take control of a silent protagonist who is transferred to Gekkoukan High School and must investigate the mysterious Dark Hour that unleashes Shadows, creatures that feed on human minds. The game features dungeon crawling, social simulation elements, and turn-based combat.
