Koyomi Araragi meets Ougi Oshino, an exchange student, in October of his third year of high school thanks to his Kouhai Suruga Kanbaru. He is informed by Ougi that she would like to talk to him about something. She notices a strange thing when she maps out Naoestu High School. A fairy tale that was never supposed to be spoken is revealed by this finding, and it dramatically alters Koyomi's existence at the high school.
It is via this narrative that Koyomi Araragi's true nature and origins are revealed.
