Nisekoi follows the daily antics of this mismatched couple who have been forced to get along for the sake of maintaining the city's peace. With many more girls popping up his life, all involved with Raku's past somehow, his search for the girl who holds his heart and his promise leads him in more unexpected directions than he expects.
Nisekoi is a romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Naoshi Komi. It follows the story of Raku Ichijou, a high school student from a yakuza family, and Chitoge Kirisaki, a transfer student from America who hates him for an incident that happened between them in their childhoods. As children they had made a promise to marry each other one day, unaware of each other's true identities. Ten years later they meet again but neither can remember what that promise was nor do they want to be together due to their families' feuding gangs. To maintain peace between them both their families decide to make them pretend to be in love. The story follows Raku as he tries to find out the identity of his promised girl while dealing with Chitoge's tsundere behavior towards him and all the other girls that come into his life with connections to his past promise.
