Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate is a visual novel in which the protagonist Yuuki Oojima attends Takafuji Private Academy, a large school with over 6,000 students. The school has a student council that is elected by the students every year. Yuuki is not interested in politics but he ends up being persuaded by his friends to run for the election.
Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate follows Yuuki as he campaigns and attempts to win the election. Along the way, he meets various girls who are also running for the student council, and learns about their goals and motivations for running. As his campaign progresses, he discovers secrets about himself and his past as well as those of other candidates. Ultimately, Yuuki must decide whether or not to use these secrets in order to win the election at any cost.
