Kingdom Hearts can be confusing to many, but it centres around 3 kids: Sora, Riku and Kairi on their home of Destiny Islands. They are all hoping to leave the islands to go to other worlds outside of their small island. After successfully building their raft, a terrible storm rushes in and the three kids try to rescue their raft.
However, it all goes downhill from there when their island is overrun by creatures known as Heartless the beings that destroy worlds and the only way to defeat them is through a weapon known as the Keyblade. Sora gains the keyblade after losing Riku to a spiralling circle of darkness. He loses Kairi too after the pair are swept away and Sora lands in a place known as Traverse Town. From there he meets Disney favourites Donald and Goofy as they have been sent on a mission to find the Keyblade wielder by Mickey Mouse.
From there the three journeys to not only find the mystery behind the heartless but for Sora to find his friends.
