Satsuki Kiryuuin rules Honnouji Academy with an iron fist, classifying the pupils into several social groups among other things. The so-called Goku outfits, which provide their wearers superhuman abilities, come along with them as well as some perks. On her first day of school, Ryuuko Matoi confronts Satsuki with her "sword," which is actually the bottom half of a pair of scissors, because she simply wants to locate the person who killed her father. Satsuki appears to know who the murderer is.
But before she can get to Satsuki, she has to get past a number of opponents and subjects that are in her way. In addition, she runs into a number of other unforeseen challenges that stand in the way of the truth.
