Masahiro Setagawa, a high school student, doesn't really feel like he belongs anywhere, so he finds support in a gang that preys on his unsureness and insecurity. At least until he meets Kousuke Ooshiba, the fabled "Bear Killer," who is Kensuke's older brother and best buddy. He immediately wanted to follow him after that.
Kensuke, who is animated and easily moved, has carried a weight with him since he was a young boy. He feels responsible for his estrangement from Hasekura, his old best buddy, whom he unanticipatedly runs into in high school. Kensuke flees out of dread of being despised by Hasekura...
