The story of the newly formed band Bad Luck, which is still in its infancy and headed for the big stage, is told via the character of Shuuichi in the song Gravitation. The young musician strolls around the park one evening to consider the lyrics for a new song. It immediately flies out of his fingers and, to make matters worse, lands at a stranger's feet. Of course, the stranger bends down and reads it. He remarks pejoratively that Shuuichi lacks writing ability and that the text is poor.
Shuuichi, who is annoyed by this interaction and in particular by this critique, spys on the writer and intends to confront him when he shows up at his house but has no idea that this thug is actually a well-known novelist. After some altercations, Yuki, the author, unexpectedly kisses him. Shuuichi is perplexed by this encounter and is fervently hoping to run with this contradicting man again—did he possibly enjoy this kiss?
