Food Wars is a manga series was adapted into an anime. Food Wars takes place primarily at an exclusive cooking school. This school only has a small number of students that graduate each year, and most of the students that attend come from the junior high school by the same name. There are some students who are able to transfer in, if they are able to complete and pass the necessary exam.
The campus itself has many clubs, cooking classrooms, and stadiums used for cooking competitions. The main character is Soma Yukihira, who wants to eventually become a chef like his dad who owns a restaurant. His father has Soma take the entrance exam to attend the exclusive cooking school, and he is able to pass the difficult entrance exam and attend the school.
From there, the plot follows Soma's life as he learns and competes with other students in cooking classes and competitions.
