Hole: a gloomy, dilapidated, and disorganized neighborhood where the weak prey on the strong and fatalities are frequent. Hole has also earned its name because, being a place free from morality and legality, it serves as little more than a testing ground for those in power. The mages view the people of Hole as nothing more than insects because they are the dominant race in their culture. They kill, maim, and subject to experiments the helpless hoboes that everyday swarm the hospital corridors of Holle.
Except for a handful, most people believe the mages to be unstoppable because they have unrestricted access to them and their power is rarely contested. One such person is the caiman, a reptile-like creature. With nothing more than a pair of bayonets and his miraculous immunity, he pursues them mercilessly in search of the truth. Mages are his only lead to regaining control of his life after being cursed by his appearance and suffering from nightmares. His stomach is his biggest challenge, but his friend Nikaidou, who owns the Hungry Bug restaurant, is a great ally.
