A cat-like modern robot named Doraemon is transported from the year 2220 to the present. He is tasked with giving the clumsy Nobita a carefree existence and stopping his misadventures, which have long-lasting effects. The little robot should also watch out for Nobita to avoid difficulty unnecessarily and to marry his wonderful love Shizuka as foretold.
Nobita frequently runs home and calls Doraemon for assistance with various issues. Doraemon consistently whips up fresh innovative solutions from his small bag to aid his companion, whether it be with school issues, disputes with peers, or dealing with girls. However, using the tools usually simply leads Nobita further into the tangle.
