Doctor Strange is a 2016 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The movie was produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney. Doctor Strange follows Stephen Strange, an arrogant but brilliant surgeon who is injured in a car accident that damages his hands, ending his career as a surgeon. After seeking out help from a mysterious figure known as The Ancient One, Strange learns to harness mystical powers and becomes Earth's Sorcerer Supreme, tasked with protecting the universe from evil forces. Along the way he must battle his former mentor Kaecilius and an ancient entity known as Dormammu, while also discovering new allies such as Mordo and Wong.
