Laharl is a rebellious son and a devilish brat. He finds out that his father passed away while he was in a profound sleep for two years, and that Netherworld requires a new king. Laharl believes he is the sole chosen one. He plans to seize power and does so with the assistance of his clumsy friend Etna.
